Foam-core Watercolor ma-jiggy

This is a nifty little art project idea I came up with while student teaching a few years back. It's a foamcore box, with layers of watercolor paper cut into funky shapes, then layered up with foam core pieces, glued together to create this nifty little design.

After I colored the shapes with watercolor paint, I put a layer of rubber cement on top....and then added a glaze of paint....and then rubbed the glue a bit, and got that trippy snake scale effect. Rubber cement + watercolor paint = some seriously cool shit.
